Using the widget
Open the Ribbonfly Marquee category in Elementor's panel and drag Ribbonfly News Ticker into place. The Posts section has two controls: How many posts (1 to 20, 5 to start) and Category (all categories to start). Below them are the same Motion and Pausing sections as in the marquee widget, and the Style tab.
What the widget reads
Published posts, newest first, as plain links to each post's address. Posts that are drafts, private or protected by a password never show. The category list is built from your site's categories; on a site with a very large number of categories it offers the first two hundred.
If there is nothing to show
On a site with no published posts yet, the widget says so in the Elementor editor, in a note only editors see. Visitors see nothing, not an empty box.
A word on speed
Titles vary in length, so a ticker of ten posts can be very wide. That is fine: speed is a distance per second, not a time per loop, so a longer ticker simply takes longer to go round. A strip of long titles at a modest speed reads better than a short one at a high speed. The speed guide shows the arithmetic.
Beyond titles
The free ticker shows titles. If you want a picture, the date and a short excerpt on each item, or products from a WooCommerce shop, the paid add-on has widgets for them; this guide describes the Elementor post cards.
