Writing lines that work
- One offer per line. “Free shipping on orders over a set amount” is one item; “New arrivals every Friday” is the next.
- Lead with the thing, not the shop. A visitor sees a few words at a time.
- Link the line. Make each message a link to where the offer lives.
- Three to six lines. More than that and the first is forgotten before the last arrives.
Colours
Choose a background and a text colour in the block's colour panel, with enough contrast between them to read at a glance. Because the colours belong to the block, the sale banner can be loud while the rest of the page stays quiet, and it can be removed in one step when the sale ends.
Where it can go
Above the page content, in a template part so it shows on every page, or in a shop's category page. In Elementor, use the marquee widget with Text items, add an icon before each line if you like, and set a background colour on the Style tab.
A strip for shops, and a strip for products
A banner announces offers; it does not list products. If you want your WooCommerce products themselves rolling past, with image, name and price, that is a different strip, and it is part of Ribbonfly Marquee Pro.
Respect the pause
A banner that cannot be stopped is a banner that makes some visitors leave. The Pause button is on by default for exactly that reason, and the plugin offers a choice only of when it is visible: always, or when the strip is hovered or has focus.
