On a page
Insert the Ribbonfly Marquee block, choose Wide alignment from the block toolbar if you want the strip wider than the text column, and write your items. The theme's content column is narrow by design; wide and full alignment are how a strip breaks out of it, and the block supports both.
Colours and type come from the theme
The marquee does not bring a design of its own. Text is drawn in whatever font and size the block inherits, and the block's colour panel offers the palette your theme defines. That is why a marquee on Twenty Twenty-Five looks like part of Twenty Twenty-Five, and the same block on another block theme looks like part of that one.
In the header or footer
Open Appearance → Editor → Patterns, pick a template part and insert the block there. The template part guide has the steps.
What to watch for in any block theme
- Image heights. Logos look best at a fixed height. Set the height on each image block rather than relying on its natural size.
- Line breaks. Each paragraph in a strip stays on one line, so a long sentence runs wide instead of wrapping. Use short items.
- Quotes. A quote is allowed to wrap, but only inside a width of about twenty-four times its font size, so a testimonial does not turn into one endless line.
The strip itself is only ever as tall as its tallest item, so a row of one-line paragraphs makes a slim banner and a row of quotes makes a taller one.
