Why a strip is simpler than a slider
A slider has to know about slides: how many are visible, when to change, what the arrows do, what happens at the last slide. A logo row needs none of that. It needs a line of images that moves one way and begins again when it ends. Take the slide logic away and what is left is small: Ribbonfly Marquee is two files, 17 KB between them before compression, and loads only on pages that contain a marquee.
Build it with image blocks
- Insert the Logo strip variation of the Ribbonfly Marquee block.
- Click each of the four placeholder image blocks and choose a logo from the media library.
- Give every logo a description. A logo's alt text is the company name.
- Add more image blocks inside the strip until you have them all.
The Logo strip starts with a speed of 40 pixels per second and 64 pixels between logos, a calm pace for pictures. Both can be changed in the sidebar.
Try a marquee
Change the settings and watch the same engine the plugin uses. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Make the logos the same height
Logos come in every shape. The simplest way to a tidy row is one fixed height for all of them: the Logo strip starts with each image set to 48 pixels high, and you can set another height per image block. Wide logos then stay wide and tall ones stay tall, but they share a baseline.
What if there are only a few?
A row of three small logos does not fill a wide screen. The plugin repeats the group until one copy is at least as wide as the strip, so the loop has no empty stretch however few logos you start with. The repeated copies are hidden from screen readers and cannot be tabbed into.
