Set it up

  1. Insert the Logo strip variation.
  2. Add one image block per publication, and set the same height on each.
  3. Link every logo to the actual piece. A logo is a claim, and a link is the proof of it.
  4. Write the alt text as the publication's name, such as the name of the newspaper, not “logo”.
  5. Give the strip a short label for screen readers, such as As seen in.

Where to put it

Just under the main heading of a home page or a landing page is the usual spot. In a block theme you can put it in a template part instead, so it appears on every page that uses that part; here is how.

Be careful with other people's logos

A publication's logo is its trademark. Showing it to say you were covered is common practice, but how far that is allowed depends on where you are and on the publication's own guidelines. Check them, use the logo as supplied, and show only coverage that actually exists. This site cannot give you a legal answer.

Slow is better for logos

Logos carry no message that must be read in time, so a lower speed looks more confident than a higher one. The Logo strip starts at 40 pixels per second. A little edge fade, set under Motion, makes the logos ease in and out at the sides instead of being cut off.

If the row is short

Three publications are enough. The strip repeats the group until the loop is full, so a short list does not leave empty space; it simply comes round more often.
